Matt Beecher

  • East 217 & 218 - Upper Level - UofU Institute 1780 South Campus Drive Salt Lake City, UT, 84148 United States (map)

Matt Beecher grew up with his grandparents in a single-stoplight Idaho town living what he describes as “the happiest childhood and adolescent life [he] could have designed, but didn’t.”  After serving a mission in Sydney, Matt graduated from BYU, worked for a season, and then graduated from Harvard Business School with honors and the prestigious “Dean’s Award for Service to Society.” Matt tells anyone who asks that the greatest training he received for life didn’t come from academia or work, but instead from living the majority of his adult life as a single, committed Mormon. Now married with children, Matt is transitioning from a world-circling career in strategy, leadership development, and executive coaching at Fortune 500 companies to running his own venture that helps seniors and their families plan for and deliver end-of-life care. He says he can’t separate his passion for and experience of caring for his parents/grandparents from what he aspires to accomplish professionally. Matt lives with his family in Minneapolis and says ANYONE is welcome to join them for dinner claiming, “We eat, and we eat every single day.”
